Samklef Want Nigerians To Be Respecting Him. See Why.

Popular Nigerian producer and singer, Samklef has taken to his official twitter handle to warn Nigerians not to compare him with other producers.

Let’s switch back to 2009/2010 when the likes of Wizkid, Ice Prince etc were still coming up. Samklef undoubtedly produced most of the tracks on Wizkid’s Superstar album, which were all hit songs. It is also necessary to not that social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram were not heavily utilised then the way they are now. Therefore, the truth will not be farfetched if we say the producer made it to stardom without Instagram publicity.

Recall Molowo Noni, one of the banging hit songs in the streets, released in the year 2012 by Samklef featuring Wizkid, D’Prince and Ice Prince, which was also produced by himself (Samklef).

With the narratives above, you can see that Samklef have been producing for a long time, probably one of the oldest producers who are still producing.

Not only that he made it to limelight without social media publicity, be he also made it by working with underground artists. He produced for the likes of Wizkid, Ice Prince, Skales, Lil Mhiz, etc.

This could be among the reasons he made a calling on his official twitter handle, telling Nigerians not to compare him with other producers.

I his words:

“I woke up great. pls Nigerians should stop comparing me with producers wey dey use ready made artist blow. Pls put respect on my name. We did it without instagram we did it 1st 😂”

I can’t help but agree more, as he deserves some level of accolades.  Other notable producers who also made hit songs and came to limelight in the same era with Samklef are Cobhams Asuquo, Suspekt, Keke & D1 (Kennis Music), 2solo, etc
